Our planet is getting older… Aging is a natural and inevitable process and part of our lives, but it increases the risk of numerous diseases, one of which is cardiovascular pathology. Despite the successful progress in modern medicine, cardiovascular diseases remain a leading cause of death worldwide. What makes age-related heart disease so difficult to combat? What eludes our understanding of the reasons for this? And why do existing treatments not meet expectations?

One of the root causes is a concealed factor: chronic low-grade inflammation that occurs even without any apparent infection or acute inflammatory stimulus and fuels the aging process within our cells. This phenomenon, known as “InflammAging”, accelerates heart aging and increases vulnerability to disease.

In this book, we tried to look at the problem of cardiac aging from the point of view of internal cellular mechanisms and uncover how innovative bioregenerative therapies can revolutionize the way we prevent and treat and open up new opportunities for extending cardiac longevity. By targeting InflammAging at its core, we aim to unlock a new path to long-term heart health and extended vitality.

Discover the future of heart health within these pages.

STEM CELLS, PEPTIDES & IMMUNOTHERAPY HANDBOOK ON REGENERATIVE MEDICINE FOR ANIMALS

Author: Prof. Dr. Mike K.S. Chan and Dr Marcel Gisain
Published by: Matador, Troubador.co.uk, London
Medical Research: ISBN: 9781803132099

Like a blank slate, stem cells are able to develop into any cell type. As a result of this property, stem cells offer the promise of regenerating tissue where disease has damaged it and caused it to lose function. For decades, researchers have promoted stem cells as a potential treatment for multiple types of illness. Doctors already use stem cells to treat human patients with lymphoma, leukaemia and other solid malignant tumours. We believe that pets can also get benefit from stem cell treatments for injuries to bones, joints, tendons, ligaments, and the spinal cord; and diseases such as osteoarthritis.  Early research has shown that that stem cell treatment might successfully treat stomatitis (a severe and painful oral disease) in cats and dry eye in dogs. The process is as follows: stem cells are injected by a veterinarian into the affected tissue, such as a knee joint damaged by osteoarthritis. The stem cells move to the damaged or inflamed tissue, cause new tissue to grow, reduce the inflammation and relieve pain. This new tissue closely resembles the original tissue, in fact more so than the scar tissue that would typically grow in an untreated inflamed area.

Autism Spectrum Disorder: Bioregenerative Medicine With Stem Cell Therapy

By Prof. Dr. Mike K.S. Chan, Prof. Dr. Yuriy Nalapko, Dr. Svetlana Yartseva and Prof. Dr. Michelle B.F. Wong.
Published by EUROPEAN WELLNESS ACADEMY – Medical Research: ISBN: 9781662930034, eISBN: 9781662927492
Library of Congress Control Number: 2022941474

Autism Spectrum Disorder: Bioregenerative Medicine with Stem Cell Therapy is intended for a wide audience: parents of autistic children, regular and special education teachers, medical specialists, and for everybody who wants to learn about modern approaches to treat developmental diseases. This comprehensive monograph contains broad knowledge starting with a brief history of autism spectrum disorder, theories of occurrence and diagnosis, and reviewing modern behavioural, pharmacological, and bioregenerative therapeutic technologies.

Why is this book different? It is grounded in recent data related to new conceptualizations of the occurrence of autism spectrum disorder which consider autism a mitochondrial disease. Thus, the authors explain core concepts. What is a mitochondrion? How does its damage appear and correlate to the signs and symptoms of autism? What kind of bioregenerative therapies have great therapeutic potential? Almost all therapeutic methods for autism spectrum disorder are discussed from the point of view of the evidence based medicine.

Bioregenerative technology is based on the restoration of damaged subcellular structures like mitochondria and brain cell peptides. Bioregenerative antioxidant therapy, hyperbaric oxygen therapy, transcranial magnetic/direct current stimulation, and mitochondrial organelles replacement therapy are key directions in the treatment of autism spectrum disorder.

Finally, new technology that holds high potential for the restoration of brain function is discussed—bioregenerative stem cell therapy. Because of the strong correlation between the symptoms of autism and changes in the brain, physicians have great tools to regulate such clinical symptoms through stem cell therapy. Most importantly, the authors have personal experience using the stem cell therapy with autism spectrum disorder patients. All facts are strongly supported by published scientific reviews and trials.

Autism Spectrum Disorder, Integrative Approach

By Prof. Dr. Mike K.S. Chan and Dr. Dina Tulina

Autism is a mental and psychological developmental disorder with a pronounced deficit in emotional and communication skills. The word ‘Autism’ is defined as a person being withdrawn into themselves. A person with autism spectrum disorder never expresses their emotions, fails to gesture or speak to others, and their behaviour often lacks social meaning. Many parents are concerned about how to recognise their child has autism and at what age the condition first manifests.

Written in accessible language for parents of patients as well as medical staff, this book provides tests for identifying autism without medical training. The symptoms which constitute Autism Spectrum Disorder are described at great length. The approach to the individual’s condition is important. Autism is not an illness or even a diagnosis—it is a state of mind in which a person is ensconced in their own world. This book is based on an understanding of the person’s condition, offering comprehensive, holistic help to improve the condition and help the individual socialise and integrate into society.

Parents of children diagnosed with autism often ask their doctor—can the condition be cured? There is no cure for autism, but by using corrective methods, it is possible to significantly improve the person with autism state and help them adapt to the world as much as possible. Of course, parents must work closely with educators, medical providers, and routines over a long period of time but the results of these efforts can be monumental. Autism is not a sentence, it is a story.

To date, transfer factors hold promise as one of the most exciting discovery in immunology and disease prevention. As the 21st century unfolds, these small molecules represent an important key to human health and well-being. Transfer factors are material present in dialysable leukocyte extracts capable of transferring cell-mediated immunity to pathogens. Transfer factors from one immune donor can be introduced into a non-immune recipient, potentially delivering an improved ability to fight threats to the recipient’s health. Similar to vaccines, transfer factors are prophylactic when administered prior to exposure to a pathogen.

This book is an overview of basic immunology and the concept of transfer factors derived from past and current scientific publications. In this book, the properties, mechanism of action, and clinical applications of transfer factors are described. Since their discovery, evidence suggests transfer factors play an important role as immune modulators in treating diseases associated with the defective function of cell-mediated immunity such as cancer, infectious diseases, etc.

The MF Plus Super Transfer Factor is then introduced including its function, characteristics, course, mode of administration, and advantages. The conclusion compiles research papers of transfer factor from years 2009 to 2020.

This book will interest researchers and scientists in fields such as immunology, molecular medicine, biomedicine, immunotherapy, pathology, microbiology, and oncology.

The success of transplantation to treat human diseases has greatly increased the demand for organs and tissues. Xenotransplantation, the use of animals as donors, is viewed increasingly as a solution to this problem. The pig-to-NHP model has become the standard for preclinical studies of cell and tissue xenotransplantation prior to starting a clinical trial.

This is A Compilation of Cell and Tissue Xenotransplantation Studies (1838-2022): A Promising Approach for the Treatment of Diseases and a collection of reminiscences by surgeons and scientists who made significant research contributions toward achieving successful transplantation of animal cells and tissues into humans. It records the works of the world’s leading researchers in this field which will impact the future medical care of patients with diabetes, liver failure, neurodegenerative disorders, corneal blindness, etc.

It also provides a comprehensive overview of applications of cellular and tissue xenotransplantation for a range of diseases especially those that result from tissue loss or dysfunction. The importance of the decellularization technique in animal tissues and organs as implantable biomaterials in the field of regenerative medicine and tissue engineering is also highlighted.

Essential reading for physicians, scientists, and lay persons with an interest in xenotransplantation; those caring for patients with life-threatening diseases; and also those interested in understanding the potential of genetic and tissue engineering in science and medicine. This book charts a historical record of the research which has contributed to the advancement of medicine called “the next great medical revolution.” Many believe we are on the threshold of clinical trials using genetically modified animals as organ donors. If successful, the benefits of clinical xenotransplantation will be enormous and will represent one of the greatest advances in modern medicine.

Multiple Sclerosis – Practical Comprehensive Essentials

A book by Prof. Dr. Mike Chan and Dr. Dina Tulina
Published by Matador, Troubador.co.uk, London – Medical Research: ISBN 978 1 80313 118 4

Multiple sclerosis (MS) is a progressive neurological disease that affects millions of people worldwide. Currently, the causes of MS are still unclear and the cure of MS remains symptomatic, while the effectiveness of treatment varies widely among individuals. The clinical features and neurological defects derived from this progressive neurological disease are diverse since MS may affect the human central nervous system (CNS) at all levels from the brain to hen end of the spinal cord. Immunopathogenesis of MS involves many steps, including activation of peripheral leucocytes against putative CNS antigens, activated leucocytes with inflamed cerebral endothelial cells, the migration of activated lymphocytes and macrophages through the endothelium to the CNS environment, and further propagation of a massive immune response within the CNS, Such large-scale immune activation leads to loss of the myelin-oligodendrocyte complex. Various types of immune cells and mediators of the immune-inflammatory response actively contribute to the pathogenesis of MS. Genetic factors are also thought to play a central role in the development of most forms of MS. Axonal degeneration and neuronal loss are the core components of irreversible and permanent CNS atrophy and disability in MS.

This book provides a comprehensive overview of the current MS situation as researchers try to understand the process and develop treatments that can slow or stop the disease, possible repair the damage, alleviate specified symptoms, and improve the abilities of MS patients to function in everyday life. Various biological holistic approaches have been shown to slow disease progression in some patients, and the recovery rate of cellular mechanism in the brain and spinal cord has been accelerated, increasing the possibility of achieving complete balance of the disease state.

The panels review the background, focusing on novel strategies that are most likely to understand the biological mechanism of recovery and translate findings into alternative comprehensive approach to the MS management. The modality of such complementary therapies adds a new dimension, geared to further improvement in the management and sustain the acquired long-term results of MS. This books will necessary to MS researchers, research funder, healthcare advocate MS research and treatment, and interested patients and their families.

It has been some time from the days of regularly reading textbooks for myself, but I found myself enjoying reading all about phosphatidylcholine. The textbook starts of by looking at human cells and membranes, followed by a section on the part Phosphatidylcholine plays in many different disease types and then continuing on to investigate the use of Phosphatidylcholine in clinical trials for medical purposes. I can only hope after all that I have read that the authors objective of improving clinical results of the treatment of different diseases is met or at least progresses further as a result of the knowledge contained within the pages of this textbook.

Stem Cells In Regenerative Medicine : Carpe Diem – Carpe Vitam!

Published by Matador, Troubador.co.uk, London – Medical Research: ISBN 978 1838590 116
Author/s: Prof. Dr. Mike Chan and Prof. Dr. Dmitry Klokol

In most of the doctors’ perception the term ‘regenerative medicine’ is associated with tissue reconstruction after severe injuries, burns or trauma. And that is absolutely correct except the fact that tissues and organs deteriorate and lose their function not only due to mechanical or physical damage, but as a result of chronic diseases, inflammation, age-related degeneration as well as genetic abnormalities and cellular dysfunction. The profound understanding of tissue morphology on the cellular level and studying of the ontogenesis open magnificent opportunities to restoration of structural and functional integrity of human organism.

Throughout centuries scientists and healthcare practitioners were in a constant pursuit of longevity—from Avicenna and Paracelsus to Brown-Sequad, Serge Voronoff and Paul Niehans. Not so long ago, in 1990’s, when the term regenerative medicine was tailored by Dr. Leland Kaiser and propagated by William Haseltine it was considered to be a medicine of the Future, «a new branch of medicine will develop that attempts to change the course of chronic disease and in many instances will regenerate tired and failing organ systems», as Dr. Leland Kaiser described it. A new hope spurred up that almost any condition can be at least improved if not cured by means of regenerative medicine, including those cases where conventional medicine is powerless or ineffective.

The Future Dr. Kaiser was talking about is certainly a Present today. Though relatively small amount of practitioners are aware of today’s regenerative medicine capabilities and many still consider it more like science fiction.
This book reveals concepts and protocols of successful approach to regenerative medicine by means of stem cell therapy. It also highlights important aspects of manufacturing and culturing of cell therapy products and administration of different types of stem cells in various systemic disorders.

All chapters are providing novel insights based on new experimental and clinical data.

September 29, 2021

“Stem Cell in Regenerative medicine: Carpe Diem, Carpe Vitum” covers contemporary and emerging areas in precursor stem cells original scientific data reports, protocols, novel hypotheses and recommendations for applications. The scope related to stem cells is broad and includes topics in stem cell biology covering basic, clinical, biotechnology, regulatory, and ethical aspects of stem cells and fetal precursor stem cells particularly, as well as adult stem cells, induced pluripotent stem cells, and diseases where stem cell anomalies play a key role and related matters. All chapters are providing novel insights based on new experimental and clinical data. Literature data, scientific research review and hypotheses are providing syntheses of current concepts in the field and discuss emerging issues and controversies around stem cells. The nature of the topic or idea being discussed dictates appropriate choice of stem cell therapy, which arguably is targeted fetal precursor stem cell therapy.

Fetal precursor stem cell therapy is based on tissue specificity and ability of the cells to perform homing – migrate and settle in the corresponding specific tissues with further proliferation of the new cells as well as instigating tissue repair and remodelling via the paracrine effect. Protocols will help accelerate studies in the field, by providing practical and step by step descriptions of established or emerging protocols and techniques of utility for both established and novice investigator. Kudos to the 2 authors!

Stem cells in particular, Progenitor (Precursor) Stem Cells was revealed in such an exhaustive manner here.

September 29, 2021

Recent advances in the fields of medicine and technology have led to the development of stem cell therapy. A stem cell is a cell that has the potential to develop into many different types of cell in the body. It has the ability to divide and copy itself and at least one other specialized type of cell. Precursor stem cells are defined on their differentiation pathway. Stem Cells in Regenerative medicine: Carpe Diem, Carpe Vitum was written to provide information about the development of stem cell therapy, which can be used in the fields of research and medicine. The main goal of the book is to provide readers with an overview of the scientific facts about precursor stem cells and its promising effects on the human body, as well as on the creation of new drugs and medicines. The book also highlights the ongoing clinical research into stem cells and lists the therapies whose effectiveness is being investigated. Stem cells in particular, Progenitor (Precursor) Stem Cells was revealed in such an exhaustive manner here.

That’s it – I found it

September 29, 2021

When I was first introduced to this newly published book in 2019, I experienced that eureka moment – that “That’s it – I found it” moment after years of practicing age management and regenerative medicine. It has been invaluable in my daily clinical practice. It is a reliable authority in this evolving and expanding specialty branch of frontier medicine. It has become a constant reference material since.

Being in medical practice the last 41 years, I reflected back on some of the major medical advances of the past decades. In December of 1954, Dr. Joseph Edward Murray of Boston, performed the first truly successful human kidney transplantation. Thirteen years later, in December of 1967 Dr. Christian Barnard of Cape Town carried out the first human to human heart transplant. These were significant medical breakthroughs in medicine, and herald a new bold field in human whole organ transplantation.

In 1981 two scientists, Martin Evans at Cambridge, and Gail Martin in California, in their separate research, derived pluripotent stem cells from mice embryos – the first embryonic stem cells ever to be isolated. Seventeen years later, in 1998, James Thomson and Jeffrey Jones created the first batch of human embryonic stem cells, derived from early embryos. These again were significant advances in medical science that paved the way for stem cell therapy in subsequent years.

This new field of stem cell biology and regenerative medicine is neither taught in medical schools nor is the knowledge available in mainstream medicine. Current practicing doctors, be they general practitioners or super specialty specialists, are neither taught nor exposed to stem cell medicine. They oftentimes read cursorily at the periphery or gather bits and pieces of information from the media. Hence the time is ripe for a book as this to be presented to the medical fraternity.

This book, Stem cells in regenerative medicine, is structured, organized, comprehensive, and provides a syllabus for learning. It is a ready source of knowledge and reference materials. Readers will appreciate the latest research materials that were incorporated and the new clinical applications across the spectrum of diseases. This book will set the standard against which other future publications will be judged

Contemporary medicine is focused on pathological diagnoses followed by disease eradication. For chronic diseases i.e. diabetes mellitus and hypertension, it is maintenance and damage control. Stem cell therapy has a different focus. It is a new dimension in treatment – that of repair of sick cells, reversal of degenerate cells, and regeneration of lost cells.

This book is aimed at practicing clinicians, be they specialists or general practitioners. Regardless of their interest in stem cells, each practicing physician should have a personal copy, without which, these doctors risk being left behind. It is hoped that this book will pique the interest of many clinicians, leading and guiding them to offer a higher level of care to their patients.

I congratulate the authors for this magnificent and timely book that the medical fraternity, knowingly or unknowingly, has been waiting for.

I was totally intrigued

September 29, 2021

The “Stem Cells in Regenerative Medicine” Book is an outstanding presentation of what can be achieved in novel therapies that involve cellular and non-cellular biologics with targeted approach for personalized human health improvements. The book authored by Prof. Mike Chan and Dr. Dmitry Klokol provides numerous case studies that show how stem cells as integrated with their four step personalized clinical protocol – DDRR (Diagnose, Detox, Repair, Rejuvenate) – can provide for advanced achievements in difficult to treat human diseases that the conventional medicine has not been able to touch.

I had the privilege of meeting with Prof. Chan and Dr. Klokol in 2018 at a technical conference in San Diego, where I got my first introduction to their work. I was totally intrigued to learn that Prof. Chan and his wife Dr. Michelle Chan have been, for the past 35 years, pursuing their technology dream of using cellular and non-cellular biologics for human health. The effort has

resulted in a technology empire that is being applied at numerous countries around the globe.

The Stem Cells in Regenerative Medicine book is their latest book with multiple case studies demonstrating the breakthroughs that can be achieved. The book provides details of the strong regulatory components of their stem cell efforts. All of their cellular biologics are produced in GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) compliance facilities where the materials can be reproducibly manufactured with the guarantee of being void of multiple specific diseases. Due to the increasing global emphasis on regulatory requirements, Team Mike and Dimitry is embracing the opportunity to intensify their scientific efforts including clinical studies and expansion into the peer reviewed publication field.

I recommend this book to be read by all clinical physicians and scientists in biology

September 29, 2021

As chief physician in Metropolitan hospitals (approximately 1500 beds) in Greece and serving as General Secretary of the European Society of Preventing and Regenerative Medicine (ESAAM) responsible for the clinical applications in regenerative medicine we were working on how to generate healthy cells to replace diseased cells. In theory stem cells can be guided into becoming specific cells that can be used to regenerate and repair diseased or damaged organs and tissues in persons.

From the book I understood why stem cells that come from bone marrow or blood in transplant procedures to treat diseases of blood cancers are successful and why trying to treat advanced degenerative nervous system diseases as Multiple sclerosis, Parkinson’s or Lou Goering’s with stem cells from skin or fat had partial or no success.

I recommend this book to be read by all clinical physicians and scientists in biology in depth it has all the information they need for a successful journey in the medicine of future. It has all the information they need to understand from basic principles to advanced technology and education. I am happy to collaborate with Professor Mike Chan in Our ORTHOBIOTIKI clinic in Greece and implementing regenerative protocols.

I have no doubt that this book will serve as a messenger in the mission of medical innovation.

September 29, 2021

The “Stem Cells in Regenerative Medicine” book, co-authored by Dr. Chan and Dr. Dmytro, is an in-depth guide to the history, practical theory, and ethics of cell

therapy and to the treatment methods of all intractable diseases that we face today at our medical practice.

“Life is a learning process.” Under Dr. Chan’s guidance, in 2020, I founded an academic society in Japan to work with physicians and dentists in the practice and study of regenerative medicine. Through this activity, I hope to see the fusion of the medical community in Japan, which has made pioneering contributions in the field of stem cell research, with the clinical practice field of regenerative medicine, in which Dr. Chan has devoted his life and passion, to bring about medical innovation. I have no doubt that this book will serve as a messenger in the mission of medical innovation. “When there is a fusion of an invention and an issue which society needs to address, it will bring about a new wave in the society, which will create new values and bring happiness to mankind.”

This book will be of great value to those who seek longevity with high quality of life and to the doctors who support people to have the quality of life they want.

Making invaluable contributions to a broad spectrum of medicalrelated audiences and the future of health.

September 29, 2021

The history of medicine is full of examples of innovators seeking to create new therapeutic approaches to help patients achieve health and wellness. Stem Cells in Regenerative Medicine: Carpe Diem – Carpe Vitam! by Mike K. S. Chan and Dmitry Klokol presents a natural history of the evolution of an approach, which they’ve developed over close to three decades, of integrating the best Western or ‘European’ treatment modalities with certain components of traditional Asian medical systems. ‘European Biological Wellness’ is the term developed by the authors to describe an approach characterized by a four-step signature algorithm – ‘Diagnose, Detox, Repair, and Rejuvenate’ or DDR – in which stem cell therapy forms a core component of their therapeutic approach.

The promise of cell reprogramming has long been the holy grail of medicine. It captures the core essence and almost mythical potential of the ‘fountain of youth’ whereby, as human beings, we are able to ongoingly heal our physical body and ourselves. In many ways, the field of stem cell and regenerative medicine captures the imagination of the public because of its potential to deliver on this promise.

In my personal view, the field of stem cell and regenerative medicine in its current state has some way to go before it fulfills its potential. That said, regenerative medicine is rapidly evolving, driven as much by critically important global safety and efficacy regulatory requirements as it is by the shifting landscapes of science and technology, not to mention public education and awareness. In recent times, questions as fundamental as ‘what is a stem cell?’ have come under scrutiny and are hotly debated in certain scientific circles. Indeed, I believe we will likely see a revision and re-defining of many terms, definitions, and hypotheses as we move towards a more unified, interoperable system and codex of the regenerative sciences.

As founder and CEO of The HEALinc and The HEALinc Future Health Innovation Summits, I believe that during this period of accelerated evolution it is important to learn from and about the perspectives of innovators in stem cell and regenerative medicine across the globe. A Unified Sciences of Regenerative Health that offers patients safe alternatives for their healing process will require the wisdom of many healthcare providers, innovators, entrepreneurs, and more.

By sharing their extensive experience and knowledge of close to three decades in the regenerative medicine field – and by outlining the natural history of their approach in A Comprehensive Guide to Biological Medicine and Wellness and Stem Cells in Regenerative Medicine: Carpe Diem – Carpe Vitam! – innovators like Professor Mike Chan and Dr. Dmitry Klokol are recognized as pioneers in the field, making invaluable contributions to a broad spectrum of medical-related audiences and the future of health. It is critical that Professor Chan, Dr Kolkol and the European Wellness team use the descriptive account of the DDR algorithm and the clinical experience of stem cell therapy outlined in this book form the basis of more intensive scientific research and clinical trials to aimed at advancing the field.

It is with great pleasure that I write this foreword for Professor Mike Chan. It is an honor and privilege to share my respect for Professor Chan’s determination to pursue cell therapy research and teach the world what he has learned in the regenerative therapy arena. Professor Mike Chan’s tireless research holds the foundational key to unlock your body’s health potential.

My name is Dr. Cathleen Gerenger. I have been in private practice in Florida, USA for over twenty years. I received my doctorate in Chiropractic Medicine at the age of twenty-four. My love for nutrition, hormonal health, and regenerative medicine led me to connect with Professor Chan. I had the pleasure of meeting him during my International Speaking Venue in Malaysia. Professor Chan and I clicked immediately when we shared our passion regarding regenerative medicine. Professor Chan invited me to visit European Wellness, in Kota Kinabalu, Malaysia, one of the 26 clinics he is involved with. I was impressed by the professionalism of his team and witnessed the meticulous details his well-trained staff provided when it came to patient care. When I returned to the United States, still inspired by my observations, I started to implement Professor Chan’s protocols into my clinical practice.

Professor Chan and co-author Dr. Dmitry Klokol have written several books. Stem Cells In Regenerative Medicine – Carpe Diem – Carpe Vitam. is a must read! I feel that the wealth of knowledge this book provides will be a great opportunity for doctors, health care providers and medical schools to incorporate in their medical practices and medical school curriculum.

Thank you, Professor Mike Chan for your friendship, zest for life and above all, your love for humanity.

Everything has been thought of before, but the difficulty Is to think of it again – Goetha

September 29, 2021

The aim of regenerative medicine is to regenerate dysfunctioning tissues and organ systems by implantation of cells, particularly stem cells that can stimulate even wider regeneration. Contemporary research projects focus mainly on human derived stem cells. These include the use of soluble molecules, gene therapy, tissue and cell genetic engineering. But there are limitations even in the use of autologous stem cells. Although much has been learned from fundamental science, effective and safe clinical protocols to treat the many currently untreatable medical conditions such as degenerative neurological conditions, complications of diabetes mellitus type II, trauma, and aging diseases etc. are still not forthcoming.

In reality live cell therapy using fetal tissues of animal origin has been used by physicians successfully, particularly in Europe for more than a century. Although this has been described as a very safe form of biotherapy with positive outcome in the treatment of neurodegenerative, systemic degenerative and chromosomal/genetic disorders this form of treatment is still not in mainstream medicine. Many groundbreaking research published on cell therapy in the last century which uses fetal precursor cells of animal origin have been either ignored or dismissed. Hence, I applaud the publication of this book by Prof Dmytri Klokol and Prof. Mike Chan. Prof Mike Chan and Prof Michelle Wong have been my close associates since I started my journey almost two decades ago on live cell therapy using fetal precursor stem cell xenotransplantation (FPSCXT). Their commitment to research and training of scientists and physicians in the field of regenerative medicine is truly commendable.

Discussions in this book include the use of fetal precursor stem cells of animal origin. The general protocol of treatment presented in this book- diagnosis, detoxification, repair and rejuvenation is a personalised approach to medicine. This requires a detailed assessment to recognise, correct physiological dysfunctions, remove/treat the causes. This is critical for optimum outcome of treatment. Contemporary medicine is now in the realm of systems biology(medicine) focussing on understanding of the entire biological systems to find health solutions. We now have new research tools such as genomics, systems biology, molecular imaging techniques and many others which were not available to earlier researchers. It is hoped that this book will generate interest among fundamental scientists and physicians to revisit research on cell biology and cell therapy with the degree of scientific sophistication now possible to achieve this aim.

This could only be possible if the reader is from the medical & scientific fraternity, earning the book a gold star for adhering to medical content by organisation.

September 29, 2021

This book has opened up a spectrum for me in understanding stem cells in regenerative medicine. The dilution of the term stem cells has been addressed here cohesively by evaluating the role of stem cells in xenotransplantation, the way it is in the authors’ decades of work.

The growing breadth of neurodegenerative diseases and the therapeutic functionality of stem cells’ value in managing other morbidities especially chronic kidney disease gained my attention. The common thread and the table of contents keeps referencing effortless. This could only be possible if the reader is from the medical & scientific fraternity, earning the book a gold star for adhering to medical content by organisation.

Being a progressive book of sciences, it has its own limitations addressing depth but this book has given me the perspective to dive deeper and work with the authors in witnessing the miles further. Now, this conviction itself de-limits the limitations. Yet another exciting chapter opens in the realm of Biological Regenerative Medicine. Kudos!

The authors manage to encapsulate the major recent breakthroughs and future prospects for cell replacement therapies in ectodermal, mesodermal and endodermal tissues.

Do we need another book on stem cells? There are many books that cover the theoretical aspects of the discipline and others that attempt to collate protocols using umbilical cord blood cells or adipose-derived MSCs. Nevertheless, the new book Stem Cells in Regenerative Medicine: Carpe diem, carpe vitum! succeeds in combining both of these characteristics, providing not only a clear account of the scientific discoveries underpinning stem cell biology, but also a useful range of laboratory and clinical involving fetal precursor stem cells. The book is written in very comprehensive and appropriate for all levels of reader’s expertise in the field or for a scientist or practitioner working with stem cells.

The international team editors are all coming from various institutions such as FCTI Stem Cells lnc., Baden Laboratories, European Wellness Group of Centers worldwide and European Wellness Academy – Germany, Stellar Biomolecular Research – Germany and Innovations. The book is divided broadly into clearly defined sections: an introduction; basic and general science of cell biology and stem cells, two sections on the culture and characterisation of various types of stem cells; regulatory aspects of stem cell research and applications; and two sections covering more recent technologies and applications relevant to the fetal precursor stem cells.

In the introduction, the authors have managed to distil over 100 years of stem cell advances in just a few pages of text. The sections containing protocols are excellent and provide the perfect framework for experimental and clinical work with stem cells. Each chapter is devoted to a separate technique and begins with an extremely helpful overview that underlines the basic steps, and importance, of each protocol.

Much has been made of the potential applications of fetal stem cells in treatment of neurodegenerative diseases. Interesting topic of clinical applications of placental therapy. The final section deals with these applications. The authors manage to encapsulate the major recent breakthroughs and future prospects for cell replacement therapies in ectodermal, mesodermal and endodermal tissues. To the authors, a great book! We look forward for more from you both!

A Comprehensive Guide To Biological Medicine And Wellness

Published by Matador, Troubador.co.uk, London.Medical Research: ISBN 978 1789015 249
Author/s: Prof. Dr. Mike Chan and Prof. Dr. Dmitry Klokol

With the arise of chronic, age and lifestyle-related illnesses, overwhelming stress, toxins and pollution, the society began to value more aspects of personal health than mere physical symptoms – the balance and harmony of mind, spirit and body. The society came to realization that it is not enough to eliminate the symptoms of the disease or even to treat the core of the illness. In most of the cases, the end of hospital treatment of the disease is only the beginning of the actual struggle for the patient. Whatever considered to be an accomplished mission from the point of view of medical protocol is only the beginning of the battle for the patient, which he, often left alone, not necessarily wins.

Our experience in research and practice in various parts of Europe and Asia has brought us to conclusion that best definition for the term “biological medicine” is – “common sense medicine”. These therapeutic paradigms are developed, employed and practiced by European Wellness Centers (EWC) – a global network of institutions tied up by the concept of European Biological Wellness. Our philosophy does not support mechanistic approach to the patient but encourages holistic care, promotes therapies stimulating healing and regeneration, and puts wellness as a corner stone of the intended outcomes. Another two integral components of Biological Wellness are maximal safety of the therapeutic modalities and its compatibility with conventional medicine.

Therapeutic paradigms of European Wellness are built on the platform of classical medicine taught and practiced all over Europe. Years spent on gaining experience and collaborating with most prominent European doctors and precise selection of fine treatment modalities from certain Asian traditional medical systems allowed us to formulate a unique system of Biological Wellness that to our knowledge does not have analogues up to date. The core of European Biological Wellness contains principles of biological medicine, which states that the human body is inherently capable of self-healing, and these abilities depend on anatomical, physiological, mental and spiritual balance. Once any component of this integral system is compromised, the occurring imbalance results in the development of disease. While conventional medicine predominantly identifies and emphasizes on symptoms and certain links of pathogenesis, our way of biological wellness, addresses the underlying causes of disease and acts concurrently with any existing treatment, modulates and balances the entire organism and directs it to effective healing and recovery.

The main objective of the book is to offer to the medical community effective holistic diagnosis, detoxification, biological repair and rejuvenation based on the individual needs of the persons and taking into consideration the health status and medical conditions. The book also provides specialized Biological wellness, recovery, and performance enhancement programs for athletes, elderly people, individuals with various untreatable illnesses and congenital disorders with the purpose of improving their general condition and facilitating their primary treatment.

The pearls of clinical wisdom in this book are made possible owing to the success of like-minded pioneers in regenerative medicine.

September 29, 2021

We should all be reminded that the fundamental unit of life is the cell. Therefore, it stands to reason that a biological basis to treating disease and maintaining wellness is a fundamental pragmatic approach in medicine. Unfortunately, this approach has been foreshadowed by the growth of a molecular pharmacologic “lock and key” paradigm driving industry which all too often fails to address the crux of the problem. Conventional pharmacologic approach often fails to address the complexity of multivariate biological systems which need to maintain homeostasis in order to achieve optimal health. Blocking a signal at one level often leads to a disruption downstream which we observe as “side effects”. When we address disease at the cellular level, we tap into the human body’s remarkable blueprint for healing while restoring homeostasis and avoiding unwanted complications. Through the rational application of cell based technology, signalling molecules, and energetics we are able to achieve the unthinkable in medicine. The pearls of clinical wisdom in this book are made possible owing to the success of like-minded pioneers in regenerative medicine. Through decades of research and real world practical applications on a global level, this book brings to the forefront, a much needed refresher in medicine that the practicing physician will find intuitive and inviting.

This book truly satisfies the friendly curiosity on the topic of biological medicine and wellness.

September 29, 2021

The authors have pooled their years of experience and dynamics of their perspective in seeing beyond what’s going on between admission and discharge. The moment of thought when one starts to doubt what one has learnt and what one has been told to do, a moment when you start questioning the protocols and the social system integrated into the planet’s biosphere – this provides

important information about the author’s intentions and the scope of the book.

As indicated by the authors, this book truly satisfies the friendly curiosity on the topic of biological medicine and wellness. Credit goes to the organization of the protocols by the easy to manoeuvre chapters of Diagnose, Detox, Repair & Rejuvenation. To an extent, this encapsulates the measures of patient management. The authors’ credentials weighs on their work of this division in practice. It is inevitably points to functional medicine, coarsely referencing.

This book does address therapeutic modalities and here, I am keen to dwell more on the morphophysiologic function of the modalities used, to contribute to my continuous medical education as an integral part of lifelong learning and clinical practice. Certainly, by means of the intermediate explorations they have both taken, they leave the physician satiated in the stride to do more for the patients, further than diagnosing and eliminating certain symptoms. It leads to see beyond. Looking forward to the evolution of the pace unveiled herein. Especially in view of how biological regenerative medicine can become the mainstream solution to current clinical conundrums to the authors, wonderful work, keep continuing!

It is not a dream anymore to live beyond 100 years old!

September 29, 2021

The history for a human being to quest for a immortality elixir that could enable him to live forever dated more than 2,200 years ago. Qin Shi Huang was the founding father of the Qin Dynasty and the first emperor of a united China. From 247 to 221 BC he was the King of Qin State. He became China’s first emperor when he was 38 years old after the Qin State had conquered all other Warring States and unified the whole of China in 221 BC. After he had founded the Qin Dynasty, he built the Great Wall, he wanted his empire to last forever and he wanted to live forever also. Newly discovered documents shown that 2,200 years ago, he even issued an executive order to look for a elixir that would enable him to have an eternal life. He sent Taoist alchemist Xu Fu to the eastern seas with 500 young men and 500 young women to quest for the elixir in the legendary Penglai Mountain, but returned without getting it. Xu Fu set sail on a second voyage with 3000 young girls and boys, but they never ever returned, instead, Xu Fu found Japan.

That was the history for human beings to search for elixirs for immortality a few thousand years ago, however, the quest never stops there since then until now. The dream for a human being to live forever or at least to live as long as possible was/is a common desire of all human beings in the past and present time. With advances achieved in the field of Stem Cell Technology recently, it is not a dream anymore for a human being to live beyond 100 years old! We don’t have to go too far away places to search for the immortality elixir as compared with the Qin Shi Huang’s time, we just have to look for Prof. Dato’ Sri Dr. Mike Chan, an International Renowned Stem Cell Expert, he will be able to make you look younger, healthier and live longer also!

Stem cells in particular, Precursor (Progenitor) Stem Cells or Progenitor cells are the most vital cells that keep our organs active from degeneration with age as they are targeted at specific organs. After 60 years old, we only have 5% of stem cells left only in our organs, thus we need to inject stem cells to rejuvenate ourselves! I highly recommend the books jointly written by Prof. Dato’ Sri Dr. Mike Chan & Prof. Dr. Dmytro Klokol on biologic medicine especially regarding the knowhow on stem cell technology. These books are well written by using a simple language and presented in a structured as well as coherent manners that will enable both experts and laymen to derive immense benefits from reading these books.

A biological medicine and wellness reference and text suited for both beginners and the seasoned alike.

September 29, 2021

A Comprehensive Guide to Biological Medicine and Wellness by Prof. Dr. Mike K. S. Chan and Prof. Dr. Dmytro Klokol M. D., PhD. is a praiseworthy biologic medicine text regarding health, wellness and aesthetics. The book features goods and services available at the European Wellness Center which are well described inclusive of rationales, advantages, caveats and expected outcomes. The authors are affiliated with the European Wellness Center.

Restoration of health and youthful appearance via the use of time-tested protocols, technology and ingredients are addressed in detail. The book serves as a therapeutic guide and manual providing explanations of why, how, what to do, what to expect, what to avoid, and what can be used together synergistically. Comparative advantages and disadvantages of selected clinical and wellness protocols are discussed.

The diagnostics and therapeutics presented go beyond usual and customary mainstream medical practices. For example, diagnostic live blood analysis under dark-field microscopy and bio resonance analysis are not found in conventional clinics. The therapeutic use of biological response modifiers such as placental extracts and biomolecular peptides found in more advanced biological medical facilities are not ordinarily utilized in mainstream medical practices. Opinions expressed by the authors may differ from those of others without similar education and experience.

The holistic philosophy is emphasized in assessing and managing health and pathological issues. Restoring health involves much more than controlling signs and symptoms. Physical, emotional, environmental, and genetic factors all play a role. The terrain of each individual needs to be addressed for more optimal results. The sequence of care generally advocated in the book involves diagnosis, followed by detoxification, followed by repair, followed by rejuvenation.

Specific diagnostic and therapeutic protocols maybe used for special needs such as substance addiction, immune dysregulation, diabetes, hypertension, fatty liver, athletic enhancement, and aesthetic facial rejuvenation. Aesthetic modalities and protocols are selected based on their ability to produce desired results, separately or synergistically. Dr. Klokol and Professor Chan have created a biological medicine and wellness reference and text suited for both beginners and the seasoned alike.
